Derby Day: If you are not making the trek down to Louisville to see the fastest minute in sports there are plenty of Derby watch parties happening in and around StL. On Saturday, May 4th, head to Gamlin Whiskey House, Rosalita’s Cantina, or Cedar Lake Cellars to join the festivities; bow tie and hat are optional. Grab a mint julep and place your bets!
Cinco De Mayo: Of course we celebrate Mexico’s victory over the French Empire here in St. Louis; it’s another excuse to drink and that is what this city does well. Cherokee Street is known for its authentic Mexican cuisine and they will be hosting quite the street festival on Saturday, May 4th (even though the holiday is really on Sunday, May 5th). Other Cinco De Mayo parties will be happening at pretty much EVERY Mexican restaurant all weekend long. A few of the bigger parties will be at Hacienda in Rock Hill, El Maguey in Manchester, Rosalita’s Cantina in Des Peres, and Babylon in Cottleville.
Fishing Derby: Watson Trail Park in Sunset Hills will be hosting a fishing derby on Wednesday, May 8th from 6-7:30pm.
